Our Weekend in May

The sun was forecast for the weekend, our bags were packed and Maisie was medicated.

It was an easy journey from Stoke up to Silloth, with a quick stop at Tebay so Maisie could stretch her legs. This consisted of her hopping from my knee to Gary's as we took turns to pop in for the loo.  Maisie refused to leave the car as she was lazy and wanted sleep.

We arrived early, about 10 ish, just as the ladies were starting their changeover.  We said a quick hello and Maisie got her usual fuss and treats.  The sun was out and it was warm so we sat outside the golf club with a coffee and a bacon bap, whilst Maisie continued to enjoy her morning snooze on my best cardi - lying on bare concrete is never an option for our Maisie.

Then it was off to the ice cream parlour for a little treat before heading back to Seabreeze. We caught up with the ladies before saying goodbyes and then it was time to enjoy our weekend.

We did have a job list, so it wasn't all play, Gary had to fix the fence and gates, plus clean off the patio whilst I staged a photo shoot in the garden to get lots of new footage. Of course there were the regular photo bombers, Maisie appearing every once in a while when I least expected and Gary nipping in to steal the prop crisps.

There was lots of relaxing in the garden, a great beach walk for Maisie and we enjoyed breakfast at Fairydust. But sadly the weekend was over far too quickly and it was soon time to pack up and go home.

Until next time...
