From the minute we walked into Seabreeze we felt at home.
Seabreeze has everything you need, I took too much stuff with me as usually holiday places are not so well equipped.
Seabreeze is spotless, and so comfortable. The superking bed was so nice.
The welcome basket and milk in the fridge for ourselves and the doggies treats were really appreciated.
Our 3 dogs settled so quickly, Charlie loved the dog beds and our other 2 took over the sofa.
We really enjoyed Silloth, walk across the road and you are on the green where you can have a lovely walk, and the beach is only a five minute walk away. The shops are very close by, and the cake shop - yum!!
Only short drives away you can get to many places, the coast road to Maryport has fab views and plenty places to stop.
Seabreeze is by far the best place we have ever stayed in, highly recommend. So looking forward to our next visit in June, unless we can squeeze another visit in.
Thank you Melanie and the team xx

  • We stayed the weekend of 21st September 2024. Seabreeze exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to visit again. Arriving on the Friday night, we had friends from Scotland stay over to do parkrun in the morning (Seabreeze is ideally located for doing this!) so we ordered pizza delivery from Mario’s and sat round the table together. Plenty plates, wine glasses, cutlery etc. Had a pool / table tennis tournament that evening after nipping out to the seafront to watch the sunset. Everybody slept well as the bedrooms are gorgeous and the house nice and cosy. Saturday morning, parkrun (really friendly people and nice flat course) , group photos at the big fella then breakfast in Mrs Wilson’s and a wander into the local shops for souvenirs (woolly hats, fridge magnets, cinder toffee, snow globes, socks from lifeboat station…). Everyone back for post-run showers and coffee (lovely showers and plenty of hot water and fluffy towels). After our friends left we went to the amusement arcade and a wander along the seafront then back home to change for dinner at The Bank of Silloth (lovely meal and we were lucky to get booked in for a change!) before wandering home full of red wine and tapas. Sunday morning breakfast in the post office shop then off to the wildlife park (about 30mins drive away) which was bigger and better than we expected. Plenty to see. Made dinner at Seabreeze because we wanted to spend more time enjoying it! Nipped out again for sunset (I like taking photos and Silloth is very pretty). We were both very sad to leave on Monday morning (after breakfast at Mrs Wilson’s again) .We wanted for nothing while there and even though the weather was changeable, sat out in the garden for a bit. Seabreeze is right on the corner by the Carrs factory and we loved watching the deliveries come and go. We are quite sentimental about the Carrs trucks (dad reasons) so that made us smile. We have only lovely things to say about Seabreeze and Silloth. Only one request: Ssshhh. Stop telling other people about it!

  • We have had such an amazing stay here at Seabreeze, the holiday home is an absolutely beautiful, well-thought-out property for a cosy stay. Seabreeze has everything we needed for a short stay the gesture of a welcome basket for both us and the fur babies (dogs) as well as tea, coffee and milk on arrival.

We are forever grateful that the place is so dog-friendly and safe for them to roar inside and outside.

We have been reasonably lucky with the weather and have had some lovely days out, even the husbands have managed to squeeze in a round of golf (Silloth on Solway Golf Club)
Husband arrived back to say that the golf was excellent, the greens were immaculate, a great test of golf and very friendly people and staff.

Thank you, Mel and Seabreeze Team

  • Fab, Fab, Fabulous bungalow. Seabreeze Cottage, was spotlessly clean, oh, and the king size bed so comfortable.
There’s nothing the owners have not thought of, to make you so welcome. Both of us, plus the dog have had such a relaxing stay,
Dog friendly cafes and eateries are a short walk away .
Far too many great things to talk about, suffice to say, WE LOVED it so much, we have booked again for next year.

  • Had such a lovely time celebrating a birthday, completing a Parkrun and remembering Mum and Dad (who honeymooned in Silloth). Think we've found you some future lodgers in our friends who visited for Parkrun too. All agreed this was a home from home, spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful touches. We're so very glad we've found you!

    Till next time xx
    P.S Bloody Well Done!!!

  • What an amazing holiday we've had!
From start to finish I couldn't fault a single thing!! Amazing communication from Melanie well before our stay, she could not do enough for us! We had two little ones with us and two dogs, a travel cot and highchair were provided for the youngest and Melanie even arranged to have the safety guard from a bed in their other cottage moved across to Seabreeze for our stay for our older toddler! On arrival everything was clean and there was a welcome basket for both us and the dogs which was a lovely touch, the cottage provided so much stuff! Plenty of mugs, glasses, plates, plastic plates, cups and cutlery for the kids, coffee, tea, milk and sugar on arrival and lovely clean bedding and towels, so much thought has definitely gone in by the owners on what to provide for their guests, we were shocked to see dog beds provided too as well as toys, poo bags and treats! There was also a toy box for the kids too! Honestly if I ever came back here again all I'd need to bring was our clothes!! There was literally everything we'd need right there for us which made it feel like home straight away! Local co op was a 5 minute walk and so many things to do on the doorstep! We tried the local fish and chip shop, the fairydust cafe, the golf pub (i think thats what it was called) and obviously the amusements and park which the kids loved! The dogs loved their daily walks along the promenade and all the locals were so friendly and chatty! We also had a day trip to the west beach which also wasnt far of a walk, it was a lovely beach although we went in early September so was a bit windy and cold, but our oldest toddler enjoyed finding pretty rocks in the waters edge and building sandcastles in the sand.
What was even better is after all the fun you had out during the day, Seabreeze Cottage was waiting not far from wherever you were to come back to, wash off the sand off your feet and shoes with the hose outside, then come back in to the cozy cottage for a relaxing evening watching the telly, or playing with the pool/table tennis or playing the card games provided in the drawers.
Thank you again Seabreeze Team!! You went above and beyond for us and we are already wanting to come back in the future!!

  • Fantastic week away in one of our favourite places. First time at Seabreeze - well impressed. Lovely well-equipped bungalow with everything you need for a relaxing break. Sunsets from the seafront are amazing as always - the locals welcoming and friendly. Can highly recommend a 30 minute drive to The Dovenby Ship for food - generous portions of really nice food.

  • We've had a fantastic time, the beds are like sleeping on clouds. So much we didn't want to get out of bed. You thought of everything anyone could need. Well done to all the Seabreeze Team, your hard work and your love shows, thanks so much and we will be sorry to leave, be back soon.

  • From start to finish there isn't anything that you need that seabrezze cottage didn't cater for we were impressed from the opening the door 😀 the welcome basket and the doggy basket was that little extra touch that was needed but didn't expect 👍there ls so much to do on your doorstep from the promenade for daily walks to the amusements for the kids and the pub up the road and the green is superb❤️I took 2 12 year girls with me so didn't know what to expect as they are very hard to please but by the end of the holiday they did not want to leave and bongo the dog wasn't to happy either as he got used to going out and running free 😍 definitely will return and would most definitely recommend 5 stars to you all and thank you again for trusting us in your beautiful home xx

  • Such a beautiful and well thought out cottage in a really convenient location. Absolutely dog friendly, from the beds, toys and guest basket. Zelda (husky) has escaped previous guest house gardens that have claimed to be secure but she didn't escape here!
Great communication and help at the end of the phone if needed. Would recommend to anyone and would love to return.

  • Wow this holiday home is amazing. Beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a fun packed getaway. When we arrived we felt calm, relaxed and could not stop smiling. Mel & her team are only a text message away if you need anything which goes above and beyond in my opinion ❤️, yet very reassuring. The superb master bedroom has a super king bed, flat screen, TV, dressing area. You walk into your ensuite which has a large shower and full equipment bathroom, all beautiful finished and is immaculate ! Bedroom 2 has a king size bedroom, again mounted flatscreen TV, bedroom 3 has twin beds. All bedrooms have crisp white hotel quality bedding which was a dream to sleep on. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. To have a welcome box, along with tea, coffee and milk on arrival meant a lot! We loved the decor throughout and the additional throws on the sofa stopped us feeling guilty about letting our dog up for a cuddle. On that note doggie treats, dog beds, towel, bowls etc are also supplied. If you have a large group staying you can order ASDA online for deliveries. Alternatively you can do a large shop in Wigton, however we found the local butcher, bakers and Coop store to be fab. Before we left we booked again to return twice for next year. This holiday home is a one off.

  • What a beautiful home away from home. We stayed Mon-Fri with our 2 yorkshire terriers Max and Duke. Seabreeze was very well equipped from a bottle opener to a torch. Everything has been really well thought out in this home. The garden was perfect and secure for our two dogs. Silloth is a beautiful hidden gem on the west coast. Watching the sunset on an evening was a big highlight for me as we live near the east coast. The beaches were amazing and very quiet. We enjoyed ourselves so much and have re-booked already for next year. Melanie and the Seabreeze team are amazing providing so much information about the area. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay and we can't wait to be back in 2025.

  • We came for my birthday weekend, even though we live 15 minutes away! It was a lovely surprise seeing Seabreeze finished after seeing it during the transformation. Everything is thought about for the humans and dogs. We managed to have a barbecue and we saw the beautiful sunset. Hope to return sometime for total relaxation. xx

  • Lovely holiday accommodation, well equipped and everything you could possibly need has been carefully thought through and provided. A great selection of toys for the children, family and the furries. Dogs are so well catered for here and the deserted west beach provided daily adventures for our three whippets. Would highly recommend

  • You can see a lot of thought and love has gone into renovation/rescuing this holiday home from home - well done. Thanks for the welcome packs, both for us humans and dogs alike (much appreciated) Lovely location, something for everyone, enjoyed walks along the promenade, even in the brisk wind. Thanks Team Seabreeze xx

  • We had a fabulous holiday at Seabreeze cottage along with our two old faithful furries Sassi and Max. The cottage is very spacious and every detail has been thought out meticulously. The furnishings are lovely and I have never stayed in a holiday home so well equipped. The beds are super comfy and the towels soooo fluffy you feel like you’re in a high end hotel!
Most impressive is the dog friendly aspect. Seabreeze goes above and beyond to welcome your pets and their every need is catered for!!
The location is perfect cross the road and your on the green, turn left out of the gate and your on the seafront promenade and turn right out of the gate and your in the town. Silloth is a gem of a town with plenty of places to pick up food or to eat out with the dogs or even nip into the cocktail bar with the dogs. We tried most places and all were good!! All the places were very welcoming and everyone was very friendly.
From initial contact Melanie has been amazing, she’s always on hand should you need her, very prompt to reply to you and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay runs smoothly. All in all this holiday far exceeded our expectations so much so we are already booked in again. Thankyou Melanie and Team Seabreeze xx

  • Sadly we had to cut short our stay due to a family member at home being unwell, but we have loved staying at Seabreeze. Beautiful, well thought out property. We can see how much love has gone into the restoration and it really has felt like home from home. Silloth and the surrounding area is lovely - we managed to walk to Grune Point despite storm Kathleen. Chester and Coco have enjoyed all the bracing dog walks and we have already booked to return in summer 2025.
    Thank you so much.

  • We have had such an amazing stay here at Seabreeze, the area is fantastic, lots of lovely places to explore, but what has made it special is being able to stay here! this is exactly how holiday cottages should be and the bonus is being able to bring my dogs!
